This page provides detailed information for the selected intervention, under 5 tabs containing the following panels.
Intervention Details tab
Intervention Profile: The panel displays the Intervention (Drug) term with an active link to its DailyMed page (if available) and all the relevant synonym terms from ChemID plus.
Drug Action: This panel displays a drug action graphic depicting the drug, mechanism of action and the target..
Top Journals: The panel displays the bar chart graph of journal retrieved based on the maximum number of the Medline articles published in these journals for the intervention (Drug) term.
Top Conditions: The panel displays the bar chart graph of conditions retrieved based on the maximum number of the clinical trials (source: USA Trial Registry) that are using that intervention (Drug) term. The chart can be toggled to alternate between open recruitment status trials and all (open & closed) recruitment status trials by clicking on the chart title bars.
Top Sponsors/Collaborators: The panel displays the bar chart graph of sponsors/collaborators retrieved based on the maximum number of clinical trials (source: USA Trial Registry) that they have sponsored/collaborated for the intervention (Drug) term. The chart can be toggled to alternate between open recruitment status trials and all (open & closed) recruitment status trials by clicking on the chart title bars.
News tab
News Articles: The panel is a tabular view that displays the first 1000 of the most recent articles retrieved for the condition term. The tabular view describes the information under following columns headings:
Date: The date column displays the release date when the article was captured.
Title: The title column displays the article title with active link to the news article.
Source: The source column displays the name of the source with active link to the news article.
Clinical Trials Link: The clinical trials link column provides an indicator to show that there is a relevant trial(s) associated with this news article. Clicking on this indicator redirects user to the Clinical Trials application. The Clinical Trials application will display an overview and detail trial information for the relevant trial(s).
Organization: The organizations column lists the name(s) of organization(s) extracted from the title of the news article, with an active link to the organization profile page.
Conditions: The conditions column lists the conditions extracted from the title of the news article, with an active link to the condition profile page.
Interventions: The interventions column lists drugs names extracted from the title of the news article, with an active link to the intervention profile page.
Columns can be sorted in ascending or descending order by clicking on the column titles. Clicking on the ‘News Articles’ from the panel redirects user to the ‘News’ application.
News Release Timeline: The panel displays the trending graph that captures the news articles which were released within the last six months for the intervention (Drug) term from the date search was performed. Rolling the mouse over the graphical time points will display the date and the count of the news articles. Please note that the article count display on the timeline chart (y axis) may include duplicate entries when the count of retrieved news articles is small.
Clinical Trials tab
Phase Charts: These panels display the bar chart graphs of different phases of open for recruitment and all trials (in addition to trials where phase is not specified) from the trial records retrieved based on the maximum number of clinical trials (source: USA Trial Registry) conducted for the intervention (Drug) term.
Clinical Trials: The panel is a tabular view that displays the first 1000 of the most relevant trials (source: USA Trial Registry) retrieved for the intervention (Drug) term. The default columns displayed are: ID, Title, Recruitment Status, Enrollment, Conditions, Interventions, Lead Sponsors, Trial Phase, Principal Investigators, and First Received Date. Columns can be sorted by clicking on the column titles in an ascending or descending order. Clicking on the ‘Clinical Trials’ from the panel redirects user to the Clinical Trials application.
FDA Adverse Events tab
FDA Adverse Events: The panel is a tabular view that displays the first 500 of the FDA reported adverse events for the condition term. The default columns displayed are: Case, ISR, Indications, Products, Adverse Reactions, Manufacturer, Outcome, Occupation and FDA Date. Columns can be sorted by clicking on the column titles in an ascending or descending order. Clicking on the Case ID will redirect user to the case profile page of the Pharmacovigilance application.
