Quick search
Typing text in search bar and pressing the search button is the quickest way to get results in any of the Luxid Navigator modules.
Entity search
The quick search can be restricted to search specific types of biopharma entities, such as conditions, interventions, organizations, or mechanisms of action. Autocompletion of search terms is enabled for entity-specific searches. Autocomplete is based on terms that occur in the Luxid Navigator data sets.
Conditions
Condition autocomplete is based on an ontology of diseases and related terms, primarily taken from MeSH.
Interventions
Intervention autocomplete is based on an ontology of drug and product names, primarily taken from ChemIDPlus.
Organizations
Organization autocomplete is based on an internal ontology of clinical sponsors, companies, and research institutions.
Mechanisms of Action
Mechanism of action autocomplete is based on an ontology of mechanism of actions associated with drugs, primarily taken from NDFRT.
Advanced Search
Each module within the Luxid Navigator provides an advanced search panel that is accessed by selecting the "down triangle" in the search box.
Searches can be cleared by clicking the "X".
Integrated search
Searches are automatically transferred between modules in the Luxid Navigator.
Faceted search
One of the key features of the Luxid Navigator is the interactive filtering to facilitate real-time data analysis. The user can select multiple entries by keeping the Ctrl key pressed and then releasing it once all selections are made. The query logic for the multi-select filter is "OR" within the panel and "AND" across the panels. Selecting an entity or combination of entities will filter the trial results based on the selection and update all the panels to reflect the filtered result set. Selected entities are denoted by orange highlighting. To clear the selection click on the filter button available on top of each panel or clear the breadcrumb displayed at the top middle screen.
